My name is Sandra Maria Schlegel, I was born in '77, in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria, but I grew up here and spent my young adult life here.
I completed my training as an industrial clerk in Engstlatt with Erwin Jauch and Schleicher.
In 2000 I went to Zurich to study acting at the European Film Actor School. Later, for professional reasons, I worked in Berlin, Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Spain, Budapest and Munich again. Sometime around 2004 I started Bikram Yoga in Zurich, by chance, if you believe in coincidences. I stuck to it, although I have never met a more reluctant and stubborn beginner than I was.
I have been practicing Bikram Yoga since 2004, on and off, and it has made me who I am. In spring 2019 I was ready to pass on this healing practice and completed the world's toughest yoga teacher training of over 900 hours in Spain, with a certified degree from the Bikram Yoga College of India.
I teach from the heart and want to show everyone the incredible possibilities that lie within you. You go there alone, but you always need someone to show you the door.
Yoga is not about doing. You don't do yoga. You try. And never stop trying.
